This fabulous child-friendly villa near the north coast of Bali has a private pool and tropical garden and includes a private chef, concierge service and villa manager to make your family's stay perfect. In a wonderful area near the island’s north coast, beaches, waterfalls, restaurants, snorkeling, live music bars and dolphins are only minutes away. Relax at the villa around the barbecue or in the yoga/meditation area; in the evening you can sit under the stars in one of the outdoor sitting areas and watch boat lights across the Bali Sea. By day, chill out around the pool or on the day beds or bean bags while the kids play. The villa’s skilled private chef, Penny, will happily prepare anything from the Western, Asian, vegetarian and children’s menus and cookbooks, as well as discuss special requests and dietary requirements. Family-friendly activities nearby include cycling along the coast, visiting temples, watching dolphins, horseback riding, playing at the beach, and snorkeling/diving at Menjangan Island. If you have done stand up paddling (SUP) before, you may use the owners’ boards to go on the Bali Sea and see the coral and dolphins.

Why Kids Love it

Fully equipped for kids, Villa Bloom has space for everything your kids can throw at it - parkour in the garden, splashing in the pool and roasting marshmallows on the barbecue included. Practical issues are taken care of: the villa provides a crib, a baby bed, 1 high chair and kids tableware. The cook knows how to make fresh baby food. Two baby/toddler/kids life jackets are available and there are 2 baby car seats and 1 booster seat available. Should you rent a motorbike, kids helmets are available. Pack light: there are plenty of toys like Duplo, cars, train tracks, books and puzzles, DVDs, a loudspeaker (for a kids disco!) and beach toys at the property, along with snorkelling gear. The pool has a play castle with a slide in to the pool; it has a shallow end (80cm deep) and a deep end (1.5m). There is a bamboo hut in the garden, a little soccer field with goal posts and play areas all over the 3,500 sqm property. It’s carefree and safe, and the staff are available to babysit. Kids can release a turtle to the ocean at at Pemuteran, and go snorkelling or beach combing (1.5 hours away). Lovina Beach (15 minutes away) is also fun to visit.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 2 days. Rates are based on a family of 4 (including babies). For every person above 4 there is a surcharge of $30 per person per night. The whole villa is on 1 level, so there no stairs to worry about. The pool is far from the house (20+ meters), with fencing available on request. It is 2 levels down from the main house with non-slip tiles all over the property. There are no pets but pets are allowed if guests want to bring them. Rates includes 5 staff at the villa for cleaning, cooking, laundry, gardening, maintenance, and security. Tips are recommended but optional. There is a $5/hour surcharge for babysitting, and additional activities are charged separately, including massages, private yoga class, palm reading, meditation and more. The hosts can also help with airport transfers, boat trips, excursions, grocery shopping, laundry and more. They work with a driver who is very kid-friendly; transfers can be arranged from the airport. The villa’s attendants, Iluh and Kadek, take care of the housekeeping and domestic duties at the villa, including daily cleaning and laundry, and a gardener, Putu, takes care of the garden and pool. There is also night time security. WiFi is unlimited.

About the Location

The villa is in the Lovina area of north Bali, a location known for its beautiful nature, rich cultural and ceremonial activities and dolphin watching. There are numerous waterfalls, hiking trails and little roads to discover. It is the perfect base for exploring the North coast and the lakes, and Lovina, 15 minutes' drive away, offers nice restaurants, many spas and fun live music bars. There is a tennis court a 10-minute drive from the property. Nearby activities and sights include Bali’s only Buddhist temple, the rice fields at Mayong and the coffee plantations of Munduk. From the villa, you can take a walk through forest, along rice paddies and streams and through an authentic village to discover the real rural Bali. Villa Bloom is 2.5 hours from the airport, with a beautiful drive and stops to pick strawberries or play at a playground in the midst of nature on the way. A car plus driver is the recommended way to explore in Bali.

Accommodation Details

This 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom villa is on a 3500 sqm plot and includes a large tropical garden and pool. It is all on 1 level and has a master bedroom with kingsize bed and 2 further bedrooms each with queensize beds. A couch bed, crib and children’s bed (for up to age 6) are also available. There is a large semi-outdoor covered lounge/dining room, plus multiple lounge areas in the garden, a kitchen and 3 bathrooms, all ensuite with a shower only. The gardens include terraces, a yoga deck and a barbecue area.

Style Notes

Modern, light, and functional. The villa is built with kids in mind, and has an indoor-outdoor vibe, with nature, views and villa comforts connected. The covered but open terrace and the living room are joined with sliding doors to create a massive open space is fantastic for children to play. The kitchen is adjacent but closed with a door, so it's safe away from children with in-built oven, stove, and all high end kitchen machinery. We love the tropical gardens, the vast high-ceilinged lounge and the views from the pool and the yoga deck.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.

Villa Bloom was such a lovely place for our family holiday. Loads of toys and space for two small boys. The helpful staff really made us feel at home. We absolutely loved it.
