This sun-drenched house is the perfect place for families to get away. It features a choice of bedrooms on each floor, so it works well for young children, families with teens or for 2 families traveling together. Parents will love the quiet upstairs terrace and the calm garden surrounded by citrus trees - the ideal spot to watch over the kids while they splash in the pool or play out on the lawn. It’s also in a central part of Ibiza so it’s easy to explore the island’s beautiful beach coves, world-class eateries and traditional villages.

Why Kids Love it

This is a great house for kids, with plenty of toys for kids aged 5 and up. For parents with little ones, the hosts can provide a crib and a high chair on request. The 2 children’s bedrooms downstairs are filled with books in English, French and Spanish, and outside there’s a ton of yard games, a trampoline and a swimming pool. If they’re ever ready to leave the house, the nearby village of Santa Gertrudis has a fantastic playground and an ice cream shop, as well as plenty of family-friendly cafes. Ibiza boasts over 80 beaches across the island, most of which are shallow, safe and calm - perfect for families with young children.

Things to Know

Minimum stay: 5 nights, with a 2-week minimum in August. Housekeeping twice weekly will be included in the rates. Safety notes: the swimming pool is large and unfenced, so young children should be supervised in this area if needed. There are stairs inside the house and terraces upstairs, so keep an eye on little ones indoors. The house has an electric gate and is fully fenced in. Pets must be approved with the host when booking. The hosts have 4 bikes for guests to borrow during their stay (2 for adults, 2 for kids). There’s plenty of space for car parking - car rental is essential for getting around the island. The house has multiple air conditioning units, a laundry room with a washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV and WiFi.

About the Location

The villa is located just outside of the village of Santa Gertrudis in Ibiza. Despite the close proximity to the village, it offers lots of spacious accommodation. Santa Gertrudis (2 minutes’ drive or a 15-minute walk) boasts the best restaurants on the island and multiple grocery stores, and is known for appealing to families who want some distance from the busier parts of the island. Santa Gertrudis is very central with easy access to the popular towns of family-friendly Santa Eulalia, historic Ibiza Town and lively San Antonio (all 15 minutes’ drive). The closest beach is 15 minutes away and you can be anywhere on the island within half an hour. Ibiza Airport is around 15 minutes’ drive.

Accommodation Details

This residence has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, set over 2 floors. On the ground floor, there is a large eat-in kitchen with a dining area and a spacious cozy living area. Three of the bedrooms are on the ground floor: all have queensize beds. Upstairs, the 2 bedrooms are adjoining - you can pass through the office to reach the primary bedroom, which has a kingsize bed and an ensuite bathroom. The office can also be used as a fifth bedroom, with 2 single trundle beds (which can also be made up as a kingsize bed). There are multiple terraces for your morning coffee (or a cocktail or two) and a large garden with a jungle gym play area and a swimming pool.

Style Notes

Balearic retreat. Drenched in sun from morning to evening, this south-facing house is bright and light, with lots of direct sunshine. Comfortable furnishings in a classic Spanish style are mixed with pops of modern touches and contemporary pieces of furniture. The hosts have kept to a clean and uncluttered décor, with neutral white walls to create a truly serene and peaceful vacation villa. We love the classic fireplaces in the kitchen and living room, the traditional terracotta floor tiles downstairs and the rustic dark wooden front door.

Payment policy
When a host accepts your booking, we will automatically charge your card 30% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance if the check in date is more than 6 weeks away. We will send you a balance payment reminder at 6 weeks before check in and you will be required to submit your payment to finalise your reservation. If a host accepts your booking and the check in date is 6 weeks away or less, we will charge your card 100% of the total cost of the stay on acceptance.
Cancellation policy
For cancellations notified up to 6 weeks before the check in date, guests will receive a refund of any amount paid less 15% of the total cost of the booking. For cancellations notified at 6 weeks or less before the check in date, no refunds are given unless the host agrees. If a host does agree to a full or partial refund, this amount will be returned to the guest less 15% of the total cost of the booking. Some hosts will also allow a stay to be rescheduled. Guests should contact their host for further information regarding any request to change the dates of a stay.
